Taking staged photographs of children is particularly tricky. As I pointed my camera in the direction of my daughter, she suddenly became statuesque with a huge false grin chiselled on her face. After many shots and probably what felt like hours to her, boredom set in and she suddenly became aware of the water drops forming on the tips of her prized ‘Barbie’ umbrella. It was at this moment that I managed to capture this wonderful image of her, totally oblivious to the fact that I was still photographing her every expression.
